Halloween Scares: Halloween Gorp

Halloween Gorp


Ingredients: 



1
bag (16 oz) candy corn
1
bag (16 oz) pretzel nuggets
1
package (15 oz) dried banana chips or dried apple slices
1
package (15 oz) candy-coated chocolate candies (2 cups)
1
box (12 oz) caramel popcorn and peanuts
2
packages (5 oz each) milk chocolate-covered pretzels
1
cup gummy worm candies
1
cup sesame sticks
1
cup raisins
Step 1: 
In 7-quart or other large container with cover, mix all ingredients; cover tightly. Store at room temperature.

Halloween Scares: Halloween Push-Up Pops

Hey Guys! This is another recipe and this one is for push-up pops! I loved eating these when I was younger, and I can't wait to make them again! Halloween Push-Up Pops


Ingredients:

pouch Betty Crocker® fudge brownie mix
Vegetable oil, water and egg called for on brownie mix pouch
Orange paste food color
1
container Betty Crocker® Rich & Creamy vanilla frosting
24
push-up cake pop containers
Step 1: 
Heat oven to 350°F. Generously grease 24 mini muffin cups with shortening or cooking spray; lightly flour cups.


Step 2: 
Make brownie batter as directed on pouch, using oil, water and egg. Spoon batter evenly into muffin cups, filling each just over half full.


Step 3: 
Bake 12 to 14 minutes or just until brownies are set and spring back when touched lightly in center. Cool completely before gently removing from muffin cups.


Step 4: 
Meanwhile, mix food color into frosting until desired orange color. Place frosting in large resealable plastic bag; seal bag. Cut off 1 bottom corner of bag. Set aside.


Step 5:
Press 1 cooled brownie into bottom of each push-up pop container. Pipe small amount of frosting on top of each brownie. Add second brownie to each container; pipe frosting onto brownies. Top each with 1 upside-down brownie. Place caps on pop containers. Refrigerate until ready to serve.

Halloween Cheese Pizza


Ingredients: 


1 1/2
cups Original Bisquick® mix
1/3
cup very hot water
1/2
cup pizza sauce
2
cups shredded mozzarella cheese (8 oz)
1/2
teaspoon Italian seasoning
5
slices (3/4 oz) process American cheese
Step 1: 
Move oven rack to lowest position. Heat oven to 450°F. Grease 12-inch pizza pan.


Step 2: 
Mix Bisquick and very hot water until soft dough forms. Press dough in pizza pan, using fingers dipped in Bisquick; pinch edge to form 1/2-inch rim.


Step 3: 
Bake 10 minutes. Spread pizza sauce over crust. Sprinkle with mozzarella cheese and Italian seasoning. Bake 5 to 7 minutes or until crust is golden brown and cheese is bubbly. Cut American cheese with cookie cutters in Halloween shapes. Place cheese shapes on pizza just before serving.

Spooky Halloween Tree


Ingredients: 



1
box Betty Crocker® SuperMoist® white or yellow cake mix
1/3
cup shortening
1/3
cup butter or margarine, softened
1/2
teaspoon vanilla
1
egg
Orange liquid or paste food color, as desired
Step 1: 
Heat oven to 375°F (350°F for dark or nonstick pans). In large bowl, beat all ingredients with electric mixer on medium speed about 1 minute or until thoroughly mixed.


Step 2: 
Divide dough in half. On lightly floured surface, roll each half of dough 1/4 inch thick using cloth-covered rolling pin. With 2 1/2-inch cookie cutters, cut into desired shapes, cutting out eyes, nose, etc., if desired, using sharp knife. On ungreased cookie sheets, place shapes.


Step3: 
Bake 6 to 8 minutes or just until set (centers will be soft). Cool 1 minute. Immediately make hole in tops of some cookies, using end of plastic straw; trim any cut edges with sharp knife to straighten. Remove from cookie sheets to cooling racks. Cool completely.


Step 4: 
Tie ribbon or yarn through holes to hang. Hang ornaments on tree branches anchored in a pot or on Halloween tree (available at craft stores). Decorate remaining cookies as desired, and store covered.

Halloween Scares: Halloween Buddies

Halloween Buddies


Ingredients:

cups Corn Chex® cereal
1/2
cup semisweet chocolate chips (3 oz)
1/4
cup peanut butter

tablespoons butter or margarine
1/2
teaspoon vanilla
3/4
cup powdered sugar
1
cup candy corn
1
cup salted cocktail peanuts
Step 1: 
Into large bowl, measure cereal; set aside.


Step 2: 
In 1-quart microwavable bowl, microwave chocolate chips, peanut butter and butter uncovered on High 30 seconds; stir. Microwave about 15 seconds longer or until mixture can be stirred smooth. Stir in vanilla. Pour mixture over cereal, stirring until evenly coated. Pour into 1-gallon resealable food-storage plastic bag.


Step 3: 
Add powdered sugar. Seal bag; shake until well coated. Add candy corn and peanuts; shake to mix. Spread on waxed paper to cool. Store in airtight container in refrigerator.

Cookie Bones


Ingredients:

pouch (1 lb 1.5 oz) Betty Crocker® sugar cookie mix
1/3
cup butter or margarine, softened

tablespoons Gold Medal® all-purpose flour

egg

pretzel rods, broken in half

cups white vanilla baking chips (18 oz)
Step 1: 
Heat oven to 350°F. In medium bowl, stir cookie mix, butter, flour and egg until soft dough forms. Place dough in refrigerator to chill slightly, about 30 minutes.


Step 2: 
Roll dough into 96 half-tablespoon-size balls. Press and roll 1 dough ball around both ends of each pretzel to from bone shape; repeat with remaining dough and pretzels. Place 1 inch apart on ungreased cookie sheets. Bake 6 to 8 minutes or until edges of cookie are light golden brown. Cool completely on cooling rack, about 15 minutes.
